About the owner (chief, cook & bottle-washer)

Donna Cooley was known as "The Creative" in her former career as graphic designer. After some soul searching, she realized that true success only comes from doing something you love.

In 2001 she began an apprenticeship at Seattle University under Ciscoe Morris, and enrolled in the horticulture program at South Seattle Community College. Donna now holds one Associate of Applied Science degree in Landscape Design & Construction, and another in Landscape Maintenance. She is also qualified with Plant Amnesty as an Approved Pruner.

In 2010 Donna was awarded a Certificate at the University of Washington in Therapeutic and Healing Garden Design. Every year she attends dozens of seminars to stay up to date in the latest trends and techniques in ornamental horticulture.
